In response to frequent inquiries from donors regarding the acceptance of in-kind donations, IAC decided to launch the Qafila Project. The initiative is designed to provide donors with the opportunity to participate in filling containers with selected items to be shipped to select regions. The idea behind Qafila Project, is to streamline the process of in-kind contributions by offering a web-based platform that allows people from around the world to commit and contribute directly from factories to identified regions in need.
Qafila operates on a commitment-based model where donors can pledge support for specific items, ranging from one carton to as many as they can contribute. The web platform will provide specifications for the items that can be sponsored, and the progress of the collection will be showcased in real-time. This transparency allows donors to directly witness the impact of their contributions. Once a container is filled it activates orders from factories, ensuring a seamless process from production to delivery for each pledged item. By committing to even a single box or unit, donors cover the expenses incurred from production to the delivery of the donated items to those in need.
Distribution in affected areas will be facilitated through our trusted on-the-ground partners, ensuring that the aid reaches those who need it most. The Qafila Project represents a collaborative and transparent approach to humanitarian assistance, allowing donors to play a direct and impactful role in supporting communities in need worldwide.
