Situation: Vulnerable families facing displacement, conflict, or poverty struggle to access food resources, leading to food insecurity and affecting their daily lives.
Aim: The project aims to alleviate food insecurity by providing monthly food packages for families, facilitating the fulfillment of religious obligations during the month.
Intervention: Funds were utilized by our partners on the ground to distribute various aid packages:
- In Palestine: 330 food packs, 740 school bags with stationery and uniforms, 800 iftar meals (serving approximately 2400 individuals), 100 additional food packs (serving approximately 500 individuals), and the construction of one water well.
- In Sri Lanka: 200 food packs (serving approximately 1000 individuals).
- In Kosovo: 1500 families were provided with hot meals.
- In Lebanon: 500 food packs (serving approximately 2500 individuals).
- In Syria: 200 hot meal packs (serving approximately 600 individuals), 4,300 hot meals (serving approximately 12,000 individuals), an Eid party for all Alooka students and staff, 450 food packs in Utmeh (serving approximately 2,250 individuals), and 300 food packs in Idlib (serving approximately 1500 individuals).
- Additionally, interventions were conducted in Indonesia, Somalia, Chad, Ghana, Mali, Sierra Leone, Nepal, and Niger, benefiting a total of 540 food packs, 210 family funds, 250 food packages, 300 single-headed families with food packages, and 270 families (serving approximately 1350 individuals).
